To tell if an app works for your Fire HD or other Android device registered to your Amazon account, click on the above link and look on the right side of the web page. These apps are compatible with the original Fire and with my Fire HD 8.9" 4G. Lots to love about this app, despite the poor reviews.ĩ of 19 reviews are four stars and above. This is a great app the majority of the one star reviews have to do with the app not working on a particular device, the lack of instruction (which is a good point) or not being comparable to the iOS version of the app. Its many advanced features make using this program your best bet.

It also has a great user interface which makes it extremely easy to use.

It comes with more features than most of the other available PDF annotation programs. The other negative for me is navigation within the app is by using the Fire's "back" key. is the best annotation software for Windows. You are prompted to back up the file first if you do so, a new copy is created with the word "annotated" appended to the file name. You can also share files via email (5MB max in size). Integration with Dropbox is quite good, you can import from and upload to Dropbox. But you have to manually select the files, one by one (though you can work through a directory, selecting them individually but then importing en masse). This, I guess, would be useful if you have multiple documents across various directories, you can have them all in one place. There are three areas one can view, "Recent, Library and All Files. You can apparently import files from your device to the library. It's not hard to use, but there are some things one could use help with.

When you open a file, you get the only instruction on use you'll get: an instruction to tap on the upper left hand corner or swipe left to right to see the navigation bar for the file you're viewing. Not a major negative, as my PDFs are almost all in "Downloads" with a few in "Documents," so I can just leave the "All Files" at the Download directory. Main negative for me is that you have to manually find the PDFs on your device. It will start reading at the top of the current page, or you can select a section that you want read. One thing that some of you will really like-you can have the TTS read the PDF aloud. I think it just became my new favorite reader.
